Why not let your child’s imagination run wild, with children’s bedding sets? How many of us can remember a dream we had last night? Was it a tad bizarre? If our dreams are bizarre… can you imagine the dreams our children have? They have a much higher imagination; all throughout the day they are thinking and learning different things which can contribute to the dream they have at night.

Some people believe that when you dream, it’s a summary of the day you have just had. Some Doctors believe that during the day when so much is happening around you, in the surroundings you are in, that a dream is merely your brain trying to catch up.

However, other theories have been put on our emotions during the day or the week. For example, if you have been upset or you are worried about something that is coming up, it could appear in your dream that night. Interestedly, some theories have said, some people do not dream at all. However, there has been a lot of evidence that everybody will be experiencing brain activity whilst they asleep; even if you may feel like you didn’t have a dream, you may just actually be finding it difficult to remember the dream.

Apparently, children’s dreams can be much more creative. For example, children’s dreams are said to usually consist of having animals in them. However, children who think unhappy thoughts through the day or during bedtime can end up having a ‘nightmare’ that can lead to ‘night terrors’. On average, a child is said to have two-three nightmares a week.

‘Night terrors’ are much more complex than an average, ‘nightmare’. Night terrors are said to be experienced by children from the age of three to the age of twelve. On average, it’s said that night terrors start approximately, 90 minutes into sleep. They can lead to the child screaming, and they may even appear to be awake, but are disorientated. A known study has shown, after waking a child up after 90 minutes into their sleep, they will then skip the night terror and fall into a normal sleep afterwards. This technique is said to be used to stop night terrors from occurring.

Many doctors believe there are four different stages of sleep. The first, being a very light sleep, this can quickly moves you onto the second stage; this is when you will begin to think of visual images, even though your eyes are shut. The third step is when the body will fall into a much deeper sleep, with body muscles relaxing and a drop in heart rate and blood pressure. Stage four however, consists of the dreaming stage. This is when you will drift into the deepest sleep of all, where you are more likely to not be woken up as easily; unless of any sudden loud noises occur, or if you get shaken by somebody else. This stage consists of another activity of sleep; this stage is when you will have ‘rapid eye movements’. If you are awoken by the time you are experiencing ‘rapid eye movements’ it’s said you will remember the dream you just had. Although, dream researchers estimate that approximately 95% of all dreams, are forgotten entirely when waking up.

Why not have your children comfortable and ready to sink into a deep and peaceful sleep? Have them dreaming away, snuggled up with their brand new children’s bedding sets.

Most people will have a luxury linen tablecloth somewhere in their home, stored away for those special occasions… but what about a linen tea towel?

Dirty dishes can make the kitchen look filthy, and can seem to spread like a virus around the room. Don’t let it! Start this task by having a good old fashioned scrub of the dishes. Once clean, use a luxury linen tea towels to dry up your dishes; don’t worry reliant tea towels can get you through those messy days.

Why is linen a good material for a tea towel? Well that’s a good question; you may be confused between which fabric is best? Linen is durable, comfortable, looks great and is much stronger than other materials. Also unlike other materials, linen can feel a lot softer after a wash; so soft in fact that you may not won’t want to take your hands of it!

Kitchen tea towels are useful in many ways. They can be used to carry food; possibly hot plates from the BBQ to your guests. They can even be used to cover food that has just been prepared? ‘Posh tea towels’, have even been used in previous years for wrapping gifts…. it’s not all about drying you know!

Tea towels can be a beautiful accessory to your kitchen (if taken care of), epically linen tea towels. They can even be hung on wall hangers as decoration to complement your kitchen, or hung on the cooker, so all guests can see this prized possession.

Tea towels can be used again and again, even if you no longer wish to use them as drying method; why not turn them into a blind for a small window? Linen is the perfect material for blinds and curtains after all; it’s said to create that elegant look in our homes. This may sound bizarre, but ‘don’t knock it until you’ve tried it’ or so they say!

Whilst we’re on the subject of turning tea towels into different things, why not try and make a bag out of one; just a quick sewing job and you will be all set. Ok, it may not be the bag you use to go out with, but you can then use this little linen bag to carry the pegs to the washing line.

Do your children have a habit of wiping their hands on your tea towels? Whether you like it or not the children will be wiping their hands on those linen tea towels. Luckily for them, linen is one of the best materials to use when cleaning up a mess, as they are extra absorbent, so don’t threat too much.

‘Out with the old in with the new’; plain or patterned linen tea towels can add a bit of luxury to your kitchen. You can throw those old and terribly stained tea towels out, and make way for elegance.

With summer on its way, why not have a clear out of those old tea towels, replace them with brand new linen tea towels. Absorbent and beautiful, no other essential kitchen item can complement a kitchen like it… other than a luxury linen tablecloth of course!

Have your children’s night time run smoothly with children’s bedding. Bed time doesn’t always have to be a drag; why not surprise the little monster with a brand new bedding set? Make the evening easier for yourself by getting your children wanting to go to bed, with new soft comfortable duvets, pillows, sheets and more.

We all know that sleep has a massive impact on our moods. If we lack sleep, we lack the ability to recharge our bodies ready for the next day. This is exactly what happens with our children too. If you’re finding it hard to put your children to bed at night, consider trying some smart techniques.

It’s proven that if you stick to a routine, this can make children learn and accept how their day is structured. They say, if children have a guideline to what time their ‘bed time’ is, they are more likely to stick to it. This is also a brilliant way to create good sleeping habits. Getting the recommended 8 hours sleep a night is just as important for children as it is adults. However, it is said children up to five years old need up to 11 hours sleep a night for a healthy life style.

Another tip is to offer children a warm drink such as a hot chocolate. This will make them mellow and get them into a sleepy mood. Another way of calming a child down is to gently remind them it’s time for sleep. Reading a bed time story, can also have them snoozing before you know it!

Research has found that the more a parent begs or pleads the child to go to sleep, the less likely this will happen. It’s due to the tone in the parent’s voice; pleading usually ends up being a discussion and this is never good!

Many children develop the bad habit of sleeping in their parent’s bed. This is due to routine again; if a child is not placed in their own bed from the start, they may start up a fuss or a fight, wanting to continue to sleep in the parent’s bed. Many children do this because they are not used to being made to stay in their own bed every night. Usually the parent will give up after the child makes a fuss, and so to avoid any more noise they let the child sleep in their bed. This bad habit will continue if rules are not made.

So why do these little monsters stay awake for so long? It’s said that children may look and feel exhausted, but most of them will fight to keep awake. This is because the child experiences so much excitement and motivation; they don’t want to miss one minute of the day.

To make sure a child is all played out by bed time it’s essential to play active games throughout the day to wear them out. A child is said to stay awake at night because they may have felt they have missed out, on a whole day of play.

Many parents struggle to get their children sleeping soundly at night… why be one of them? Why not make it so much easier for yourself and create a routine which is followed every night. The child will know when it’s time to wind down and get into bed. Why not make them look forward to bed time? Add comfortable children’s bedding to your routine.

Support your head, with only the finest of feather pillows, ever made. Having trouble sleeping? Look no further, all you need is a soft feather pillow, to suit your personal sleeping position.

Research has said the position in which you lay at night has a big impact on which type of pillow suits you best. For example, if you are most comfortable lying on your stomach, you will be more comfortable with a thinner, flatter pillow, otherwise you may feel like your head is too high up and this will affect the sleep you get. You may also want to consider an anti-allergy pillow, to enable you to sleep face down without any disturbance.

However, if you do have certain allergies, you may want to consider using a synthetic pillow; using these types of pillows can help avoid any disturbance from unwanted visitors as dust mites and other bed bugs are not attracted to synthetic fabrics.

Sleepers, who like to sleep on their backs, may find it incredibly uncomfortable when the pillow is too thick; thick pillows can make the head rise too high. Using down pillows full of duck and goose feathers, will give back sleepers, the ultimate comfort, keeping their body in a neutral position.

When sleeping on the side, it’s said you have more of a risk of not falling asleep in a neutral position. However using plumper feather pillows will support your neck by filling the gap which is created between the neck and shoulders when lying on your side.

A lot of sleepers fall asleep at night in a certain position and change position during the night. These are known as ‘multi sleepers’ and they benefit the most from memory foam pillows. Memory foam pillows will work in every way to give your head, shoulders and back the right support. As a lot of people sleep in difference positions it’s hard to determinate which position is best for each person.

It’s said that the best position you could fall asleep in is on your back. This is because it keeps the spin keep aligned with the neck, preventing any back or neck pains during the night or when you wake up. Interestingly research states, sleepers who do not sleep on their backs, are more likely to get wrinkles. This is because they do not have their face scrunched up in all sorts of shapes and positions against the pillow.

There are bad points to all sleeping positions, when sleeping on the back, you are more likely to snore, research shows; compared to when sleeping on the side, which prevents snoring and keeps your spine elongated. Also when pregnant, sleeping on the side is very important, it’s said that sleeping on the left side when expecting is the best way to keep your blood flowing healthily.

Furthermore, research has come to the conclusion that sleeping directly on your stomach is the unhealthiest position. It’s said that sleeping on the front can increase back and neck pains as it’s more difficult to maintain a neutral position of the spin. However, the best thing about lying on the stomach is that it can stop snoring, as it’s said to keep the upper airways more open.

Why not try new feather pillows, to help you find the most comfortable sleeping position for you? Support your body, with only the finest of feather pillows.

Why not snuggle up in your duvet cover sets on a bank holiday? We love bank holidays, as not only do we get the day of work, but we are guaranteed a relaxing day, pottering around the house. Before getting up of course, there comes a time on a bank holiday when you consider just staying in bed all day.

Spring bank holiday, is also known as the ‘late May bank holiday’. So what do, we do on these days off? Many families decide to take short trips away, some families use this day to go for long walks. Also, bank holidays are known for getting all the family together, some may even cook large feasts

In some places, people have special, traditional celebrations. For example it’s said in Gloucestershire, on a large hill called ‘Cooper’s Hill’, people race each other down a steep hill running after a large round cheese. The first person to complete the race wins a Double Gloucester cheese weighing approximately 8lbs. As you can imagine, this tradition causes many injuries. They have even banned it in recent years. So now-a-days people are said to have just set the cheese off down the hill, but nobody is allowed to chase it.

However, in Staffordshire, villagers dress up in medieval clothing; this usually ends in crowning a young girl as the well-dressed Queen. Also the men in the villages, toss bales of hay in the air, to see who can throw it the highest, this is known as ‘Tossing the sheaf’. In other places, Morris dancers, with sticks, swords, handkerchiefs and bells are released into the street, for all to watch and enjoy.

This bank holiday is held every year on the last Monday of May; where many schools, businesses and shops close for the day. Bigger stores however can remain open depending on local custom. Public transport as well, is put on hold or has certain timetables in which, trains, buses and other forms of travel, will run on the day.

We’ve often wondered how this bank holiday started. The spring bank holiday was said to start as ‘the Monday after Pentecost’ this is the festival that marks the birth of the Christian church. This was also known to be called ‘Whitsun’ or ‘Whit Monday’ in the U.K. The spring bank holiday was moved however, by ‘The Banking and Financial Dealings Act 1971′ and was set on the last Monday of May every year.

However in 2002, the spring bank holiday was moved in aid of the Queen’s Golden Jubilee, so that people, could have a four day weekend to celebrate. The bank holiday will also be moved once again to the 4th to celebrate the Queens Diamond Jubilee, coming up next month.

Why not enjoy the day(s) off, and have that well needed relaxing lye in. Snuggle up in your duvet cover sets, feel satisfied and have a day of peace.

Is it your luxury cotton towels that create a beautiful bathroom? Or is it the sensual bath we use to relax? Or maybe the flooring? The answer is all of the above and everything else.

The bathroom in most homes is often taken for granted. Being the most private place in the home, it’s our relaxing hideaway from everything happening in the world. So don’t take it for granted; make the bathroom more special, create a new design, incorporating luxury products and decorations. These can be cheap, are well as, luxurious!

Have you ever asked yourself, what small things you can add to the bathroom to create a real ‘sizzle’? Well that’s easy! Smaller items including, soft new towels, bathrobes and other luxury items can make a vast improvement to how you feel about your bathroom. Be happy to get out of the bath or shower after relaxing by have a beautifully soft luxury cotton towel waiting for you.

Are you going all out? If looking to create a bathroom with a rustic look, why not use natural materials like wood, marble or metal? And how about taking a blast from the past, with a free standing bath, with decorated legs? All these items or ideas can create a relaxing, spacious feel to your bathroom.

If you have a bathroom which is a little smaller, a paint job can be just what it needs to revamp it! Keeping the bathroom furniture/storage and the walls the same colour will make the room feel more streamline. Another, great tip for revamping a small bathroom is to use fitted furniture, this will create the idea that this small space is used up to its utter most ability.

When adding items, which steps are the hardest? If it’s finding the space, don’t panic! There are ways, you can install toilets and baths to elongate the room and still have enough space to dance around singing into your hair brush.

When choosing to change your bathroom suite, consider using baths made from acrylic, although this does depend on which type of bath fits your fancy. Even adding tiles to a bathroom, can make it look completely different. If the cost of changing your bathroom completely is a problem, try specialist tile paints.

The bathroom may even just need a good old fashioned scrubbing. Cleaning bathrooms and getting rid of that build up dust and dirt can bring out the light from your bathroom features instantly. You may even want to keep up with the cleaning in the bathroom as this will enhance a real clean fresh feel to the room.

So, adding small accessories like towels, blinds and even changing the old shower curtain can make such a difference in your bathroom. You don’t have to buy products that cost the earth, but buying soft luxury items for your bathroom can really make a difference… you’ll see. Why not throw in luxury cotton towels, to compliment your beautiful new look in your bathroom?

Do we ever consider which restaurant we want to eat at by their beautifully laid out linen tablecloths? When picking a restaurant, have we ever thought of how a restaurant came about? By the time we have chosen the place to eat, all we have on our mind is food.

Allegedly, in ancient Roman times, there was said to be restaurant like bars, made from stone. This would be set up to serve the oncoming flow of people walking past. These places usually contained storage vessels, which they would keep hot or cold food. Romans were said to believe, it was healthy to have a takeout, as you were socialising when eating.

However, many believe that the first restaurants to serve the public were created in China; these small shops in the 11th century were used to serve herbal tea for travellers. These Chinese restaurants owned by the Kaifeng family, were a new revolution to the industry catering service. They were particularity for local people in the regions of China, however word got out about these small places and more travellers were visiting.

The modern day restaurant however, is expected to prepare and serve meals to customers in return of money. Meals in restaurants are usually served on the premises, on a set table. Depending on rankings, the table will be set out with beautiful linen tablecloths in more expensive restaurants, compared to cheaper pubs and cafés.

According to research there are approximately 26,148 restaurants, 29,566 takeaway services and 51,249 pubs serving food in the UK alone and this figure is always increasing and decreasing. This gives us a lot of options.

However, takeaways are also very popular nowadays. Food is ordered, prepared and people pay when picking their orders up. ‘Fast food’ was invented for us to have a quick meal but this isn’t always a healthy option. Fast food popularity however, is on the increase; many people choose to get a takeaway in order to avoid the effort of cooking. Fast food is cheap and served quickly.

Restaurants are commonly used for many reasons; meetings can be held at a restaurant to discuss work in a comfortable atmosphere, with other work colleges or a customer. Trying new things, can also be a main aspect to why people eat out in restaurants, if they fancy trying new foods in Chinese, Indian or other restaurants.

Some people find going out for a meal, instead of a meal at home, much easier. Some people are known to not be as good, at cooking as others, restaurants can take the stress. Next time you’re considering going out for a takeaway, do ensure you pick to right place, to entertain guests.

Next time you choose a restaurant, think about why they were created; to serve the hungry people who are on the go. Take pleasure, in having the time off cooking and preparing meals, sit back and relax. And why not judge the quality of the restaurant by its beautiful linen tablecloths?

When having guests round, we tend to stress about how to lay the dinner table, why not use beautiful linen tablecloths to start off with? When organising a formal dinner party, don’t stress, just relax and work out the obvious. Remember you are not just setting the table, you are setting the mood!

How many people will be coming? This will determine how much cutlery will be placed on the table and how many chairs you have to set out, remember to make sure there is plenty of room for the guests to feel comfortable.

Now, to determinate what age group the guests are. In all informal or formal dinners, age is very important when setting a table. You need to think about how many children are coming, ensuring to include a selected area to seat children, so adults can feel at ease. Also, making sure that the best prized cutlery is not at the children’s end of the table, to avoid damage and safety.

Now who is the host of the evening? This person will be the drink server to the guests, you may even want to go all out and have a few people serving drinks. The key to a pleasant dinner party, is to make guests feel welcome; make sure everybody has a drink from the beginning of the meal to the end.

In traditional table settings, the cutlery is placed in order of use, for example there will be knives and spoons set on the right hand side of the plate; the cutlery furthest away from the plate, will be the knives and spoons for the starter. The left hand side of the plate, is where the folks belong, however, all cutlery can be moved to suit different people.

Although, each formal dinner has a basic guideline, they do not always get followed. According to how many courses there are on the menu, determinates how much cutlery is needed. This can differ depending on whether you are having a formal or informal gathering as well.

In order to ensure, the guests at the dinner are well hydrated, make sure there is a bottle of wine or other refreshments at hand. Glasses at a formal meal are essential, they are usually placed above the knives and spoons, to enable easy reach and this can also differ depending on that certain person.

Napkins are also considered a luxury when setting the table. You can roll or fold napkins into different shapes, depending on which look you are going for; napkins are usually essentials for restaurants. They can even, be placed in large wine glasses neatly, to create a luxurious feel.

When decorating the dinner table, after setting the cutlery, do ensure that it’s not over done with large flowers or objects. As this can obstruct the guest’s views of one another at the table, and may make the table feel too over crowded.

When setting a dinner table, the key is to be prepared. Whether it’s a formal or informal dinner, ensure a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere for your guests. Enjoy and entertain guests when laying a formal dinner with linen tablecloths.

We take often take our duvet cover sets for granted, but have you ever thought about how the body reacts to lack of heat or too much of it?

Interestingly, our bodies can tell if we are too cold, receptors on the skin send warnings to the brain. ‘Vasoconstriction’ then occurs; this process is the narrowing of the blood vessels. With the narrowing of the blood vessels, blood is restricted; the main use of this process is to retain body heat. This occurrence is the reason we look paler when we are cold, due to the fact that less blood is reaching the surface of the skin.

However, when we are too warm the opposite reaction happens, it’s called ‘Vasodilation’. Although this is a completely different process, the brain sends similar signals through the blood vessels and the blood vessels widen. This causes the blood flow to increase, causing more blood to rise to the surface of the skin; this makes us appear flushed or red.

It’s proven that when you exercise your body heat increases and your heart beats quicker. This orders the body to work harder. The body maintains an even heat from exercise, by releasing body perspiration; this evaporates from the skins surface and cools the body. They say in a continuous activity you can release as much as, 1.5 litres of sweat within every hour.

Also, your body has ways in which it helps warm you up, one of the most common occurrences are ‘goose pimples’, these are created by bumps on a person’s skin which raise the hairs. In cold situations, the raised hairs catch air between the gaps in the skin, generating insulation and warmth.

It’s said that, goose pimples are a reaction on all mammals’ skin, when in an emotional state, such as fear. They use the ‘hair rising’ technique to alert other animals or to warn predators away.

The reflex of shivering is another technique the body uses when you get cold. The rapid movement of your muscles create energy, which generates heat and warms the body.

It’s said that, when you sleep your body temperature drops, this causes sweating. Sweating during the night is a way our bodies keep heat, as our bodies are immobilised. The evaporating of sweat in the night, from the skin keeps us just the right temperature.

To fall into a deep sleep, our bodies must lower the temperature. Research has said, you are more likely to be able to stay in a deep sleep, if your body temperature is cooler. When body temperatures start to rise when you get too hot, you are less likely to have a deep nights rest.

Keeping our bodies the right temperature, is essential for a decent night’s sleep. Warm and comfortable duvet cover sets, will keep you snug and cosy all through the night, stopping you from waking half way through the night.
